U.S. Army Special Operations Command
 U.S.
Army Special Operations consist of Special Forces, Ranger, Special
Operations Aviation, Psychological Operations, Civil Affairs, as well as
Signal and Combat Service Support Units. These units may deployed during
peacetime as one element of a national response task force or in
strategic, operational, and tactical roles during wartime. Most Special
Operations Forces are regionally oriented and capable of rapid
deployment. They are equipped for all-weather, all-terrain, worldwide
deployment.
